Portland International Airport provides air travel to and from Portland, Oregon. The airport is located 13 miles from the hotel. Light rail and private transportation provides direct service to downtown Portland. Specific information on transportation options is provided below.

Amtrak

For travel by Amtrak, take your local train to Union Station Portland. Local commuter buses are available for transportation to SW 5^th & Salmon stop, one block from the hotel.

Public Transportation

TriMet Transit Passes for All Attendees!

TriMet is generously providing complimentary transit passes for all New Partners for Smart Growth Conference attendees. The passes are valid from Thursday through Saturday (February 11-13). Participants will be able to pick up their free passes when they check in during onsite conference registration hours at the Hilton Portland & Executive Tower Hotel. More details will be included in participant confirmation materials sent out in January 2016.

Light Rail

TriMet MAX provides the Portland light rail service. MAX Red Line provides service to and from the airport. The closest MAX station is Pioneer Courthouse/SW 6^th Avenue Station, located 3 blocks from the hotel. The light rail operates every 15 minutes every day. Total travel time from PDX to the Hilton Portland is 49 minutes. Tickets can be purchased on iPhone and Android, on the web, and in person. Fares range from $2.50 for 2.5 hour tickets, $5 for one-day tickets, and $26 for a 7-day pass.

Buses

TriMet provides bus service throughout Portland. The closest bus stop to the Hilton Portland is the SW Salmon & Park. TriMet does not provide direct bus service from the Airport to the hotel. Bus tickets can be purchased on iPhone and Android, on the web, and in person. Fares range from $2.50 for 2.5 hour tickets, $5 for one-day tickets, and $26 for a 7-day pass.

Taxi

The distance from Portland International Airport to the Hilton Portland is approximately 13 miles. The estimated cab fare from the airport to the hotel is between $40 and $50.

Bus and Shuttle Services

Blue Star Bus provides direct bus service to downtown Portland from the Portland International Airport via Downtown Express. The closest stop is Paramount Hotel, one block from the hotel. Cost is $14 per person and reservation is required.

USA Airport Shuttle provides private van transportation to downtown Portland. One-way rate from the airport is $45. Reservation is required.

Economy Shuttle provides private van service to downtown Portland. Rates are not available online. Reservation is required.
