Area Attractions

Captivating, colorful, and cosmopolitan, Charlotte is eager to introduce itself to you. Countless cranes pepper a towering skyline and certainly are a sign of the times that the Queen City is on the rise… in more ways than one. Progress reigns daily with one of-a-kind attractions, a thriving cultural calendar, a flavorful culinary scene, and an ambiance all its own. More than a NASCAR Mecca and a financial epicenter, this burgeoning hub of the Southeast has the excitement of a cosmopolitan city, yet maintains the friendliness of a small town with Southern charm. And while much of Charlotte is evolving these days, its world-class offerings and hospitability are city signatures. So whether looking for family-friendly appeal or paint-the-town-red-adventures, you’ll be a fan of this winning city in no time.

Levine Museum of the New South in Center City documents Charlotte's rich history through the timeless and award-winning exhibit "Cotton Fields to Skyscrapers."
